AI Cabin to Boost Teens' Mental Well-being
Huakai Youshi (Hebei) Technology has developed an eye-catching cabin to provide psychological support to teenagers.
Developed after three years' research, the AI Heart Protecting Cabin is currently being placed in schools and other educational institutions.
It comprises a portable cabin in blue and white that has a screen with advanced virtual human and intelligent dialogue technologies. Stressed-out youngsters can go inside the cabin and use their smartphones, tablets or other smart devices to interact with the screen, on which virtual characters appear and talk to them, responding to their cause of woe.
Students can choose their confidants from a variety of popular characters, such as the Monkey King from the blockbuster game Black Myth: Wukong.
The cabin's innovative software can detect psychological crises and alert the school authorities and/or a psychological crisis intervention hotline run by the local government. Trained professionals are then available to provide essential support.
The AI Heart Protecting Cabin has incorporated the latest research findings by Tsinghua University, including muscle cell vibration imaging and voice emotion computing technologies. It also leverages Huawei Cloud's multimedia capabilities, ensuring natural interactions by the virtual characters.
The model has been developed in collaboration with experts from top institutions such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Psychology, and Beijing Anding Hospital, extending the reach of traditional counseling services.
In addition, the cabin features real-time monitoring and keyword extraction, which enables a nuanced understanding of each youngster's psychological state and tailoring the support accordingly.
