China-New Zealand Sci-tech Cooperation Pact

During New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins’s visit to China in June, China and New Zealand signed a five-year pact on cooperation in science and technology.
The Arrangement on a Five-Year Roadmap for China-New Zealand Science and Technology Cooperation 2023-2027 was signed in Beijing on June 28 by the Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhigang and New Zealand Ambassador to China Grahame Morton.
According to the agreement, the two countries will expand and deepen scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges in the next five years. This includes exchange of scientists, jointly funded research projects, and cooperation in research and innovation in areas of common interest.
