In June 2018, in order to promote the industrialization of modern facility agriculture and increase the income of farmers in Liangshan, local authorities made the decision to build a high-level modern agricultural industrial park, in the form of the Fuzhao Modern Agricultural Park.

As one of the first batch of modern agricultural parks in Liangshan prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan province, Fuzhao Modern Agricultural Park plays a demonstrative role in developing smart agriculture and supporting high-quality rural development.

Covering an area of 5,100 mu (340 hectares), with a total investment of 230 million RMB, the park has adopted a host of modern technologies to solve problems faced by agriculture in high-altitude mountain areas.

The intelligent system is used to keep the temperature, light and water in the park's greenhouses in the optimum state, while the integrated automatic irrigation and fertilization system is applied to improve planting efficiency.

At present, more than 3,200 mu of standardized vegetable greenhouses have been built, and 10,000 square meters of comprehensive service centers, including the vegetable pre-cooling warehouse, sorting workshop, agricultural technology training center, and production management room, have been established.

In addition, the park plans to build an area of more than 170 mu of health resorts, to promote agricultural industrialization and combine agriculture with tourism.

It has also cooperated with Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other research institutes to establish facilities for agricultural experts, to speed up the development of smart agriculture.

In addition, a number of full intelligent greenhouses have been built, in which smart seedling and soilless cultivation are realized.

In the next phase, with the goal of creating a "national-level modern agricultural industrial park," Fuzhao Modern Agricultural Park will pay more attention to sci-tech innovation and transformation of sci-tech achievements, extending the industrial chain, and improving the management capabilities, so as to build a high-standard, high-tech demonstrative agricultural park.
